Before you meet your interviewers or even get an interview call, it’s your resume which introduces you to the recruiters and sets the table for. Thus, you need to be very precise and sure of not making any mistake. At times smallest of silly mistakes could snatch away the chance you have been so long waiting for. Keep yourself safe and protected against the common resume errors.

  1. Resumes with inappropriate format: Recruiters today prefer customized and professional resumes. As such usage of outdated or inappropriate format, especially in technical and executive profiles could get to hold or even rejection.   9. Do not exaggerate: Recruiters are well experienced professionals, who are well acquainted with human nature and psychology and will easily catch you lying. Moreover you will invite yourself heavy burden of expectations.
  10. Do not include references: Reference checking is a later stage effort so you need not include the section in your resume. Just keep you references details ready, to be provided when asked for.
